Maj Ørskov is postdoc at the Department of Aesthetics and Culture, Aarhus University. Her work centres around contemporary art and cinema in the SWANA region. By employing the practice of contextualized aesthetic analysis, she strives to unfold how artistic practices respond to and interact with socio-political challenges in the region such as the re-emergence of authoritarianism and the continuous strive towards a decolonized future. The writing of the entries of the Situated Terminology was done as a postdoc researcher in the research project Artistic Practice under Contemporary Conditions funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF21OC0068539).
